Frida Kahlo

On July 4th, 1932, Frida suffered a miscarriage in the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. In this disturbing work, Kahlo paints herself lying on her back in a hospital bed after a miscarriage.  The figure in the painting is unclothed, the sheets beneath her are bloody, and a large tear falls from her left eye. The bed and its sad inhabitant float in an abstract space circled by six images relating to the miscarriage. All of the images are tied to blood-red filaments that she holds against her stomach as if they were umbilical cords. The main image is a perfectly formed male fetus, little "Dieguito", she had longed to have.  The orchid was a gift from Diego. "When I painted it I had the idea of a sexual thing mixed with the sentimental" Frida said. The snail she said, alludes to the slow paced miscarriage. The salmon pink plaster female torso she said was her "idea of explaining the insides of a woman". The cruel looking machine she invented "to explain the mechanical part of the whole business".  Finally, in the lower right corner is her fractured pelvis that made it impossible for her to have children.

Christmas Holiday

Christmas Eve, 24

To the evening it can only with my friends to see the coach of the Olentzero, to the night I went to had dinner on Galarreta where the family of my father, after presents Olentzero, came and we open the presents, we were playing a while with the presents an went away to the bed.

Christmas Eye, 25

To the morning I went to AGurain to house of my grandparents presents on behalf of my mother, take the sorprais, we were the whole morning with them and then we went away to Galarreta to eating and to the evening I didn´t make anything special.

New Year´s Eve, 31

The morning was like other one anyone, to the night have dinner with the whole Galarreta family, at 12 we ate the grapes and to bot a few finework and a few petards and then went home of the cousins and when I us enter the dream we all went away to the bed.

Carnival 2013

This carnival, I dresedup like mazeta witch my friends. On Saturday , at night, there was a party. It didn´t rain, but it was too cold.

On monday, it was a very rare day. In the morning, there was a lot of snow and we didn´t have electricity unit 17 p.m.
